Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's office clarified that there is no intention to increase Jordanian control of the Temple Mount or undermine the current status quo.
"[Rumors] about discussions regarding changes to Israel's sovereignty on the Temple Mount are baseless," read a statement from the Prime Minister's office. "This is out of the question. The status quo will remain in place. It's similar to the spin on the establishment of a consulate for Palestinians in Jerusalem about a year ago."
