The Magistrate's Court in Rishon Lezion extended by eight days the detention of a 29-year-old resident of Lod, who is suspected of ramming a Border Police officer and stealing a car in the Shoham area.
The policeman who was injured in the incident is anesthetized and on a respirator with a head injury, and his condition is serious but stable.
