A 50-year-old man set himself on fire across from the Ashdod municipality building.
MDA staff evacuated the victim to Assuta Hospital in the city while he was placed on life support with burns to all parts of his body.
After initial treatment, the man was transferred to Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer.
