Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with Time Magazine that Russian soldiers were minutes away from capturing him and his family on the first day of the invasion.
A senior Ukrainian intelligence official said Russian soldiers had twice stormed the compound where Zelenskyy was staying on the first day of fighting, but were unable to take control of it.
