MK Itamar Ben Gvir (Religious Zionism) has issued his response to the Education Minister's proposed reforms to the matriculation program, set to be implemented during the coming academic year.

"It was Yigal Alon who said - rightly - that, 'If a person who does not know his past, his present is impoverished and his future is shrouded in obscurity.' The government should not cancel the matriculation tests in History or Tanach, and I call on the Education Minister to go back on her plans to cancel them."
