The director of the Wages department in the Finance Ministry, Kobi Bar Natan, has urged caution with regard to any program to increase the minimum wage.
"Raising the minimum wage must be done in a very measured way," he told Radio 103FM. "We have to consider many other variables alongside the minimum wage, and we have seen from experience that such increases must be done very slowly and cautiously, while closely monitoring their effects."
