Jordan's King Abdullah II spoke to US President Biden over the phone.
King Abdullah reiterated his stance on the status quo remaining in place at the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem.
"Jordan will continue defending sites holy to Islam and Christianity," he told Biden during the call.
