Police opened an investigation recently upon receiving a report of a Taybieh resident threatening a matriculation exam proctor in the city after the latter disqualified his son’s test for having a cellphone in his possession during the test.
In response, the student attacked the proctor and fled the scene. A short time later the student's father arrived at the school, threatened to burn the building, and hit the exam proctor.
Shortly afterwards, they were detained for questioning at the police station before being released under restricting conditions.
