A child was pronounced dead after drowning while 45 individuals have been rescued from a capsized boat carrying about 60 migrants off the Lebanese coast.
More than a thousand people have attempted to leave the troubled nation over the past year.
Lebanon's Public Works and Transport Minister said the search for others missing in the accident was "ongoing."
