Tal Ramon, the son of the late astronaut Ilan Ramon, spoke with astronaut Eitan Steva while the latter was in space as part of the 'Rakia' mission. Ilan Ramon was the first Israeli astronaut in space, killed upon re-entry in the Columbia disaster. Eitan Steva is the second Israeli in space and the first Israeli to visit the International Space Station.
"I want to thank you for our wonderful friendship, and those of our families throughout the years, for your contributions towards the dreams of Assaf, mom, and dad. For making the space world accessible to the youth here in Israel. Thank you very much," Ramon told Steva.
