A Foreign Ministry spokesman has issued a statement on the incitement in Arab media against Israel actions on the Temple Mount.
"Instead of taking action to calm the waters, the Palestinian Foreign Office has chosen to join forces with extremist elements and disseminate fake news," the spokesman said. "They are seeking to cause an escalation and increase the level of violence.
"Israel is maintaining freedom of worship in Jerusalem at the holy sites for all three major religions which are celebrating during this period. Any attempt to portray a different picture is false and such actions shame the true spirit of Islam."
