Jordan slammed Israel's "assault" on the Muslim holy place following this morning's riots on the Temple Mount.
Jordan's media spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Haitham Abu Al-Ful called the events a "blatant and reprehensible violation reprehensible, unacceptable [to the Muslim world]"
The Hashemite Kingdom also demanded that Israel immediately withdraw its security forces from the compound.
