The Yad Mordechai company on Thursday called on consumers who are allergic to milk not to consume pure honey from wild flowers in a jar or a pressure bottle due to the presence of minimal traces of milk protein.
The Ministry of Health said that it is working to check the presence of milk protein in honey from other marketers in Israel and recommends that people with allergies to milk do not consume honey, for fear that it contains milk components, until further notice. The ministry will update the public upon receipt of the test results.
