Foreign Minister Yair Lapid hosted Slovakian Foreign Minister Ivan Korcok in Jerusalem on Wednesday.

During the visit, the two ministers held a meeting in Lapid's office, and then took part in the opening ceremony of the Slovak Institute in Jerusalem.

During the ceremony, Foreign Minister Lapid said: "Where we stand, my friends, the capital of Israel, Jerusalem, historical alliances have been formed for thousands of years. The alliance between us joins them today. We appreciate and cherish this moment, and even more so - the years to come."

"This is also an opportunity to thank the Foreign Minister for his steadfast stand against terrorism, as reflected in the recent statements of condemnation he issued after the terrorist attacks that struck Israel. My friend, thank you very much," added Lapid.
