The Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi David Lau, responded to the words of the chairman of the Religious Zionist Party, MK Bezalel Smotrich, who suggested banning coalition MKs from synagogues.
Rabbi Lau said, "Synagogues are open to everyone, always, and anyone who wants to pray in them is welcome to do so, regardless of his political opinions or worldview."
