An 18-year-old resident of the Bedouin city of Rahat in southern Israel was arrested on suspicion of committing security offenses inspired by the Islamic State terrorist group (ISIS). The suspect, Bashar Al-Galawi, has Israeli citizenship.

The investigation revealed that al-Galawi supported the group as well as its goals and beliefs. He is shown to have contacted an ISIS operative in Syria, whom he asked to help him enter the country in order to join the ranks of the terror group.
