Speaking at a ceremony to honor exemplary service in Israel Police, Public Security Minister Omer Barlev praised the country's security officers and stressed that the government will not shrink at executing broader operations if necessary.
"You work with endless dedication and commitment while striving for contact [with the enemy] and risking your lives, with one single goal before you: protecting the lives of Israeli citizens on the streets of our towns and cities," Barlev said.
"The police, IDF and GSS forces have been operating in the Jenin refugee camp in recent days, and we will continue to use a strong hand against terrorism and will not hesitate to launch more extensive military operations in Jenin and anywhere else that is a fertile ground for terrorism. Do not test us."
