The Young Settlement Forum responded to the publication of a legal opinion by the Ministry of Justice regarding the connection of young settlements to the electric grid:
"The Ministry of Justice has reached the obvious conclusion that we have long stated: There is no impediment to connecting our communities to electricity. Only one signature of the Minister of Defense is needed to make sure this happens.
"As we have clarified, the electricity order must be structured in a way that allows young settlements to be regulated and connected to infrastructure, and without any outrageous approvals for the Arabs. The responsibility rests upon MK Nir Orbach, the Minister of Justice, and the Minister of Defense to finalize the necessary details and bring about the approval of this good and worthy order, already in the coming days," the Young Settlement said.
