The Ministry of Aliyah and Integration said on Sunday night that nine new immigrants from Ukraine who arrived in Israel in recent weeks were injured in an accident on Highway 1 near the Ben Shemen Interchange.
Upon receipt of the report, employees of the Ministry were instructed by the Minister of Aliyah and Integration to assist at the scene of the accident and at the hospitals to which the victims were evacuated. Aliyah and Integration Minister Pnina Tamano-Shata came to visit the victims at Shamir-Assaf Harofeh and Sheba-Tel Hashomer hospitals, and the director general of the Ministry of Aliyah and Absorption, Ronen Cohen, came to visit victims at Kaplan Hospital.
