Police arrested a resident of northern Israel in her 20s who volunteered at the Sha'arei Tzedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, on suspicion of deliberately disconnecting the a two-month toddler she was supervising from a feeding tube connected to his body.
The woman was detained after hospital staff alerted police to the case.
Only the feeding tube was disconnected in the incident - not the ventilator - so that the toddler's life is not in danger.
