The parents of a Border Police officer killed in the Hadera shooting attempted to block the Qalandiya checkpoint through which worshippers make their way to the Temple Mount after the government decided to allow PA residents to enter Jerusalem en masse.
Herzl and Meirav Hajaj, parents of fallen officer Shirael, said: "After the attack yesterday in Tel Aviv in which innocent Israeli civilians were killed, while Benny Gantz and Naftali Bennett have yet to close the border crossings, we could not wait to act. They are streaming through here with no security screening and no guarantee of when they will leave. the question is not if there will be another attack, but when, where, and how many victims."
