Foreign Minister Yair Lapid responded to the political drama occasioned by the resignation of Idit Silman from the coalition.
Lapid said: "Extremism will not defeat the State of Israel. Ben-Gvir and Smotrich will not steal our country by force of arms, corruption will not defeat sanity and clean hands. Whoever tries to divide us, make us hate and be angry with each other, will always lose in the end."
"Everything is being done to keep the government going. Everything is being done to avoid the country degenerating further and to avert toxic and divisive elections. Everything is being done to continue the economic growth and political boom of recent months," Lapid said.
