Hungary, which is a NATO and EU member, broke ranks with the EU and said it is willing to pay for Russian gas in rubles, as reported by Reuters.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has threatened to cut off gas supplies to Europe unless it pays in Russian rubles, a threat made in retaliation to Western sanctions against Russia.
