In a letter to the legal adviser to the Prime Minister, MK Ophir Akunis of the Likud urged renovations to PM Bennett's home in Ra'anana to come to a halt in case the coalition ends up falling apart due to Idit Silman's bolting the government.

"Public funds estimated at about 59 million shekels are going to waste without any justification. In any case, Mr. Bennett turning his private home into an official prime minister residence is in complete violation of the law and Knesset rules," he wrote.

"I would appreciate your prompt response."
