The EU Presidency has announced that the European Union will be imposing additional sanctions on Russia due to the continued hostilities in Ukraine.
The new sanctions will include a ban on Russian ships entering EU ports, other than those carrying food or medical supplies. An import ban will also be imposed on Russian coal, and four more Russian banks will be added to the list of those under sanction.
