The Jerusalem District Court sentenced 2 Arab residents of Jerusalem to prison Tuesday, both minors involved in the vicious assault of a Jew in Jerusalem last year. One minor was sentenced to two and a half years in prison, the other to two years in prison.

According to the ruling, on one of the days of Ramadan last year, dozens of Arabs rioted in the Shimon HaTzadik neighborhood. The complainant arrived at the scene, possessing a Jewish appearance, and the rioters started shouting and throwing stones at him. The Jewish man tried to escape, but the rioters attacked him on all parts of his body, with force and cruelty, with punches, kicks, wooden batons, stones, rocks, an electric shocker, and other objects.

At one point a police car approached and the Jewish man ran toward it. One of the rioters picked up a supermarket cart and threw it at the Jewish man. As a result of the rioters' actions, the man suffered many injuries to all parts of his body.
