The Ministry of Health is expanding the age group eligible for publicly funded dental care and the scope of care provided in this framework.

Citizens aged 72 and over, instead of 75 as has been the case so far, will receive preservative dental treatments that include, among others: urgent care, periodic examination, routine and follow-up examinations, X-rays, panoramic photography, tartar removal, root cleaning, root removal, and root canal treatment.

In addition, the age of eligibility for restorative dental care will be lower to 72 instead of 80.
