U.S. President Biden called for Russian President Vladimir Putin to stand trial on counts of war crimes and said he’d additional sanctions following reports of mass killings in areas vacated by Russian troops.
“We have to continue to provide Ukraine with the weapons they need to continue the fight. And we have to gather all the detail so this can be an actual -- have a war crimes trial,” said Biden.
Ukraine's President Zelenskyy accused Russia of “genocide" while the country's prosecutor-general said the bodies of 410 civilians had been removed from Kyiv-area towns recaptured from Russian forces.
