The director of Rambam Medical Center, Prof. Michael Halbertal, said that there was a further improvement in the condition of chief superintendent S., a Yamam (police counter-terrorism) officer who was wounded on the night between Friday and Saturday while thwarting an impending attack by a terrorist cell near Jenin.
The officer is fully conscious, breathing on his own, and is expected to leave the intensive care unit within two days.
