US President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky are having a phone conversation now, according to a White House press release.
It was reported in Ukraine that according to estimates, 200 to 300 civilians were killed in Irpin near the capital Kyiv, while control of the town was in the hands of the Russian forces. This is according to the town's governor, Alexander Mokrushin, who also said that about 50 of the Ukrainian army forces were killed on the spot, and some bodies are still trapped under the rubble, as reported by Reuters.
