Minister of Interior Ayelet Shaked (Yamina) called for increasing the Civil Guard and allowing more civilians to carry weapons for self-defense.
Shaked told INN: 'The number of police volunteers needs to be significantly increased. Anyone who is willing and ready to contribute should be enlisted in the Civil Guard immediately. The criteria for carrying weapons should be lowered and all soldiers should be released home with their weapons.'
