Minister of Religious Services Matan Kahana commented on Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz's letter to hospital administrators demanding that they not prevent the introduction of leavened food to hospital premises on Passover.

"Introducing leavened food to hospitals harms not the feelings of the patients, but the ability of the religious patients to keep from eating forbidden foods on Passover. It is possible to reach solutions that everyone can live with. Until we reach these agreements, I am convinced that the citizens of Israel will try to allow their brethren to keep the commandments of the holiday," Kahana said.
