Netanya mayor visits Abukarat family: 'This is a terrible tragedy'

Netanya Mayor Miriam Feierberg arrived at the home of the family of Shirel Abukarat, who was murdered yesterday in the Hadera terror attack.

"This is a terrible tragedy, this is a family of immigrants, amazing, idealistic. This is a girl who decided she only wanted [to serve in] the Border Police. An amazing soldier, a wonderful family, the salt of the earth," the mayor said.
