Former President Donald Trump announced legal action against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and other Democratic Party officials for allegedly attempting to "cheat the country" during the 2016 election campaign.

Hillary and members of the media alleged that sources in Russia had colluded with Trump to help him win the election in what has become known as the "Russiagate" scandal.

"The defendants conspired maliciously in a false narrative, alleging that their opponent was collaborating with a hostile state," read the lawsuit filed in a Florida court.
