The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has reported that half of Ukraine's child population has fled the country since the war began on February 24, as reported by Reuters.
The agency said in a statement that 4.3 million out of 7.5 million children had fled their homes, of which 1.8 million had fled the country and 2.5 million were displaced to other cities in Ukraine.
'The war has caused the largest displacement of children seen since World War II,' said agency director Catherine Russell.
