Prof. Arnon Afek, Deputy CEO of Sheba Tel-HaShomer Medical Center and a member of the team of experts advising the Corona Cabinet, which convenes today, addressed the new wave in an interview with Kan 11 News:
"We are on the verge of a new wave of morbidity, probably caused by the BA2 strain that is more contagious than omicron. Those who have recently been infected are more protected, mainly against serious illness. The omicron wave has passed with a minimum of restrictions."
