Workers at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant who have resided and worked there since Russia's invasion of Ukraine were allowed to leave. This was announced was made by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
A single shift of technical workers who worked at the station during the Russian forces' takeover of the power plant could not leave for weeks, which raised concerns about the station's safety. However, the IAEA now noted that "most of the current workers left the station on Sunday, and were replaced by Ukrainian colleagues."
