Israel Ministry of Construction and Housing opened a new discount housing lottery yesterday, for those eligible. The main clause of eligibility is the lack of homeownership. New housing units are offered at discount prices throughout the country.
On only the second say, another 8 days still left to apply, 52,673 families and individuals have already signed up to buy a condo. The most sought-after city so far is Beer Yaakov with 16,027 registrants, followed by Rishon Lezion with 15,766.
