An adviser to Ukraine’s interior ministry reported that Russian warships fired missiles and artillery at the Ukrainian coast south of Odessa at approximately midnight last night.
“They fired a huge amount of ammunition from a great distance,” Anton Gerashchenko was quoted as saying in a Facebook post, noting Russia's attempts to "test" Ukraine’s coastal defenses.
