The Chairman of the Constitution, Law, and Justice Committee, MK Gilad Kariv (Labor), addressed Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked today (Friday), with a detailed document presenting a series of actions and practical steps to improve the humanitarian response that the State of Israel should carry out to ease the plight of refugees from Ukraine.

In relation to the immigration policy implemented for the recent period of turmoil, Kariv demands a significant increase in the quota of refugees. He also demands that first-degree relatives of Israeli citizens be allowed to come to Israel outside the refugee quota. "While we can not allow entry without any control, the quota presented makes our humanitarian mobilization almost irrelevant," Kariv wrote.
