The U.S. Senate approved a bill which will see $13.6 in aid for Ukraine following the Russian invasion.

About $6.5 billion of the money will allow the US to deploy troops to the region and equip Ukraine with military aid, with $4 billion allotted for humanitarian aid, and $1.8 billion intended to rejuvenate the local economy and neighboring countries.

Congress has until Friday to pass the bill if another government shutdown is to be avoided. There's widespread optimism the bill will pass before the cutoff date.
