The Knesset plenum on Wednesday evening approved the first reading of a bill submitted by Yisrael Beytenu MKs Yulia Malinovsky, Evgeny Sova and Alex Kushnir, which seeks to toughen the punishment in relation to the offense of vandalizing real estate in circumstances where the offense was committed in order to restrict women's free access in public spaces or to prevent the presentation of female figures in public.

The penalty for committing this offense will be a fine of 75,300 shekels or one year imprisonment.
