Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has requested permission to address the Knesset Plenum to discuss Russia' invasion of his country.
Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel, Yevgen Korniychuk submitted the request to Knesset Speaker Mickey Levy Wednesday, a senior official said.
It is unclear when the address would take place. Zelenskyy's request was issued the day before the Knesset was to go on recess. Zohar offered to allow the Ukrainian President to address the Knesset via Zoom. It may be necessary to convene a special Knesset session during the recess so MKs can attend the address.
