The chairman of the Knesset Constitution Committee, MK Gilad Kariv (Labor), on Tuesday called on Israel to accept non-Jewish refugees from Ukraine.

"It is good that we are preparing for a wave of Aliyah, but it is not possible for an Israeli citizen to live in anxiety about his elderly parents or his brother and sister who may not be entitled to the right of return. The state of the Jewish people must also take responsibility for non-Jewish war refugees," Kariv told Galei Tzahal (IDF Radio) in an interview.
