On Wednesday, Israeli President Isaac Herzog and his wife Michal are set to depart on a state visit to Turkey, at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The President and his wife will be visiting the Turkish capital, Ankara, as well as the city of Istanbul, where they will meet with members of the local Turkish Jewish community as well as the President himself. Herzog will be the first Israeli leader to visit Turkey since 2008.
