Irit Yachnes, a spokeswoman for the Israeli embassy in Poland, referred to the fighting in Ukraine in an interview with Galei Tzahal.

"We hope the end of the campaign is near, but we are not prophets. Most of the people we talk to say they have hope that they can return home. The people waiting in line are engaged in daily survival," Yachnes said."From the numbers we have, there are still some 2,000 Israelis in Ukraine who don't want to leave for personal reasons. As far as Jews, it's hundreds of thousands."
