The British defence ministry released a report stating that Russia's tactics in Ukraine were comparable to those used during its bombing campaigns of Chechnya and Syria.
According to the report, Ukrainian fighters continued to offer an unexpected level of resistance, while Russian troops were targeting civilians in an attempt to damage morale on the ground.
The ministry further stated that the Russians had “probably made minimal ground advances over the weekend" and that Putin was trying to take down Ukraine's communication channels in an effort to reduce civilians' access to reliable news updates.
