Sirens were heard a short time ago in the Ukrainian cities of Odessa and nearby Dnipro, home to a large Jewish community headed by Israel-born Rabbi Shmuel Kaminetsky, Head of the Board of the United Jewish Community of Ukraine.
An onslaught by the Russian army is expected in the area.
