Alex Meller, a friend of Roman Brodsky who was killed in Ukraine, told 103FM in an interview about his feelings following the unfortunate news:

"A very difficult and sad morning for all family and friends. We knew 20 minutes later, his daughters were somewhere else in a very quiet village, only his partner saw. He has a boy and a girl, the little boy is 3 years old and the eldest is 6 ".

On Brodsky's escape attempts, he said: "When the sky closed he could no longer escape. We talk every day, we are friends for about twenty years. He laughed at me, he did not think it would happen. I told him to get out of there. It was a mistake in identification. Everyone is broken and received the harsh news. I tried to convince his wife to get out of there, at the moment she says that is not realistic."
