Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, expressed support for his friend, Ukraine's ambassador to the United Nations, Sergiy Kyslytsya, at the opening of the special emergency session of the UN General Assembly to deliberate regarding condemnation of Russia's attack on Ukraine.
Ambassador Kyslytsya visited Israel about six months ago as part of a delegation of UN ambassadors organized by Ambassador Erdan, and has Jewish roots and close friendships with Ambassador Erdan himself.
